I am coming from NYC and Stamford, CT, and I was very fascinated by the great service of this place. Shely especially is very accommodating since I eat only kosher meat. They offer fish and other cuisines in pre-ordered.
I had the ribs and they were absolutely amazing! Staff was overly friendly. Would highly recommend! One of the best rack of ribs I've ever had...
Best southern bbq I've had since leaving the south. Loved the ribs & chicken, tender and smokey. Real baked beans with debris. Spicy sauce has a kick. A totally unexpected treat in Corning. Family owned & operated. A true slice of Americana. Would have given it 5 stars, but there wasn't a readily available bathroom.
Food was very enjoyable, and everything was understandably priced. We came on a decently packed day, so the staff were a bit slow to get around to us. The serving time was a tad bit long, but it's a given considering the conditions. Parking was a squeeze. If you're lucky, you can find a spot on the street; if not, you'll have to pay or look someplace else. All in all, a decent place to fill up on some good meat after visiting the Corning Museum of Glass!
Family meal to go. Large portion. Great food. Well worth it. Pulled pork is amazing. The silly dude tried to make me feel guilty for asking for extra sauce after I ordered. Said it's usually extra. As if I didn't pay enough for the food. Not a big deal though. I'll be doing this again.
